About Golf Pro 2 U

Golf Pro 2 U is run by Phil Toomer, who is a PGA Class AA qualified Golf Professional. Phil has been qualified since 2006 and has been based at Shrewsbury Golf Driving Range since August 2006. At the Driving Range Phil has built up a substantial client base ranging from other PGA Professionals to beginners seeking their first golf lesson. Phil is also a Ping and Callaway Club fitter and he uses the Vector Launch Monitor to enhance the fitting process and ensure the customer has the best equipment for their game.

By offering this unique service Phil hopes to bring golf coaching to a wider market of busy business people who struggle to find time for golf coaching.

The modern Teaching Professional has had to embrace new technology, and Phil has attended courses on getting the most from this technology. This has led to the use of video swing analysis software and launch monitors at Shrewsbury driving range. This technology can now be brought to you as a client of GOLF PRO 2 U. Phil has also attended seminars from leading figures in the game of golf including Dr Paul Hurrion putting guru to Open Champion Padraig Harrington, and Dr Karl Morris the mind man to many European Tour Pro’s.

Phil’s playing career has been troubled by knee injuries, but he has experienced final qualifying for the British Open and is a former Club and County Youths Champion.
