Phil Toomer

Phil Toomer, is a PGA Class AA qualified Golf Professional. Phil has been fully qualified since 2006 and has been offering golf lessons at Shrewsbury Golf Driving Range since August 2006. At Shrewsbury Driving Range Phil has built up a substantial client base ranging from other PGA Professionals to beginners seeking their first golf lesson. Phil is also a qualified Ping and Callaway Club fitter and he uses the very latest technology to enhance the experience for the client. 

The modern Teaching Professional has had to embrace new technology, and Phil has attended courses on getting the most from this technology. This has led to the use of video swing analysis software and launch monitors at Shrewsbury driving range. This technology can now be brought to you as a client of GOLF PRO 2 U, using our Trackman launch monitor. Phil has also attended seminars from leading figures in the game of golf including Dr Paul Hurrion putting guru to Open and USPGA Champion Padraig Harrington, and Dr Karl Morris the mind man to many European Tour Pro’s.

Phil’s playing career has been troubled by knee injuries, but he has experienced final qualifying for the British Open and is a former Club and County Youths Champion.
